01 — The brief
Mountainview Meats was running a pre-summer BBQ party ad that wasn't pulling its weight — clip-art roosters, mismatched fonts, hand-drawn stars and a layout that fought itself for attention. They needed the same event information, but presented in a way that actually stops the scroll and gets people through the door.
02 — The approach
We rebuilt the piece from the ground up while keeping every detail intact: date, time, address, phone, sponsors, JJ's Face Painting, and the Boundary Métis donation drive. A confident rooster-in-overalls hero anchors the right side, oversized condensed display type screams BBQ PARTY, a single warm cream + deep navy + bbq orange palette replaces the chaos, and a tidy icon row (cornhole, ice cream cone, burger) makes the offerings instantly readable. Event details, location and partners get their own clean zones so nothing competes.
03 — The outcome
Mountainview Meats walked away with an ad that looks like a real brand campaign, not a community board flyer — print-ready for posters and handouts, sized for social, and a perfect example of what a monthly graphic from our subscription looks like. Same event, same info, completely different result.
